Tango Mandarin was developed in the early 2000s at the University of California Riverside in one of California’s most desirable citrus growing regions. They wanted a clementine-type of citrus fruit that was a little bigger, a little juicier, better, and easier to grow than what was currently on the market. Thanks to some intricate scientific cyphering (non-GMO) combined with some special Southern California fairy-dust, they were able to introduce Tango to the world.
