Herb – Peppermint
Peppermint has been utilized for hundreds of years to flavor sauces. soups, and meat dishes. It is also commonly used in tea, cookies, and candies. The cool, refreshing scent and flavor lend itself well to many summer dishes and chilled desserts as well.
Peppermint is used for the common cough, cold, sinus infections, inflammation of the mouth and throat, and respiratory infections. It is also used for digestive difficulties including cramps of the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract and bile ducts, nausea, heartburn, morning sickness, vomiting, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), upset stomach, diarrhea, bacterial overgrowth of the small intestine, and gas.
