Citrus-Meyer Lemons
$4.39
*There are about 3-5 Meyer Lemons in one pound (1 Qty).
Meyer lemons are a cross between a mandarin orange and a regular lemon. Sometimes, the fruit is slightly smaller than a regular lemon, with a smooth, yellow peel. Mature fruit has a thin, almost orange peel. The entire lemon (minus the seeds) can be used because the peel is thin and lacking in a thick, bitter pith. Lemon as the whole (minus the seeds) can be used. The juice and flesh are sweeter than a regular lemon and can be used raw or cooked. Meyer lemons are a specialty item. They can be up to twice the price of regular lemons.
Our Meyer Lemons are harvested by hand on our farms within 24 to 48 hours of delivery; our naturally grown lemons are less acidic and sweeter in flavor than the typical lemon. The Meyer Lemon skin is thin and fragrant, with a darker yellow color and slight orange tint when ripe.

Brought to the United States in 1908, Meyer Lemons became popular as a food item after being rediscovered by chefs during the California Cuisine revolution.
