The popular Hass avocado is an avocado that’ll start off being green, then change toward purplish to black as it ripens. Its creamy flesh is typically pale-green beneath the peel but moves toward a light yellow to greenish-yellow closer to the pit.

The avocado texture is silky smooth and the flavor is rich and nutty.
